These terms describe what Kloufi does, what it expects from its visitors and what it does with the data it processes. By using kloufi.com, with or without an account, you accept them. The privacy policy (kloufi.com/confidentialite) complements them for everything concerning your data. This English version is provided for convenience; in the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
1. The service
Kloufi is a search engine for classified listings. It reads listings published on third-party sites, mostly Algerian, in five markets: property, vehicles, electronics, home appliances and jobs. It presents them in a uniform form and links back to the original listing.
Kloufi does not publish listings, sells nothing, collects no money and puts no one in touch with anyone. Contact with an advertiser, viewing, negotiation and payment take place on the original site or between the people concerned, without Kloufi.
The service is free for visitors. Searching does not require an account. An optional account lets you find your favourites and your saved searches on all your devices (see “The Kloufi account”).
2. The publisher
The website kloufi.com is published by Kloufi, Villa N°30, Cité Makoudi II, El Alia, Oued Smar, Algiers, Algeria. Contact: [email protected].
3. What is indexed and where it comes from
For each listing, Kloufi keeps the elements useful for searching: title, description, price, photos, location, characteristics (floor area, mileage, brand…), publication date and original site. These elements remain the property of their authors and of the sites that publish them. Kloufi reproduces them in order to index them and to give access to the source.
Every result shows its original site and leads to the original listing. Kloufi does not display advertisers' contact details: they are found on the source site. Kloufi does not alter the text of a listing; it may accompany it with computed indications (price converted to dinars, comparison with the market, scam-watch signals), always presented as such.
A listing withdrawn from its original site is set aside from the results as soon as its disappearance is confirmed by several checks, generally within a few days. An old link to that listing remains readable, with a note that it is no longer available.
3.1 Sites crawled
The list of the sites followed is published on the site, on the sources page of the features section and from the “Add a listing” button. It changes: a site that closes leaves it, a site that matters joins it. A site's publisher can request its addition from the “Add a site” page. A site that does not wish to be read asks at [email protected]: Kloufi stops crawling it.
3.2 Removal request
An advertiser or a site that does not want a listing to appear in the results says so at [email protected], with the address of the listing. Removal takes place within 48 hours, as provided for in the privacy policy. A site's request covering all of its listings is handled in the same way.
4. The Kloufi account
Creating an account is optional and free. It requires a login (an e-mail address or a mobile number), a password of at least eight characters and, if you wish, a first name. No SMS code is sent. By creating your account, you accept these terms; the date and version accepted are recorded with the account.
The account is used to find your favourite listings and your saved searches, with their filters, on all your devices. You can attach an alert, daily or weekly, to a saved search: that choice is recorded, and the sending of alerts by e-mail will be announced on the site when it opens. Kloufi does not write to you unless you have asked it to, apart from messages relating to the security of your account.
An account is personal. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for what is done from your account. If you think it has been used without you, change your password from your account area or write to [email protected]. If you have forgotten your password, write to [email protected] from your account's e-mail address, or stating your number.
You can view, correct and delete your account at any time from your account area. Deletion erases your favourites and your searches, closes the account and anonymises your contact details; it is final. Kloufi may suspend or close an account used contrary to these terms, after informing its holder where possible, except in an emergency.
What Kloufi keeps in an account, for how long, and your rights are described in the privacy policy. Kloufi does not sell, rent or pass on any account data, neither to the classifieds sites nor to anyone else.
5. Applications for jobs at Kloufi
Kloufi publishes its own job offers on the “Careers” page. Applying does not require an account. The form sends Kloufi what you enter: name, e-mail address, phone number and LinkedIn link if you give them, message, and your CV (PDF or Word, 5 MB at most).
The application is kept in Kloufi's internal tool, by the hiring team, for the duration of the recruitment. You can ask for it to be deleted at any time at [email protected]. It is passed on to no one else.
You undertake to provide accurate information and to apply only in your own name. Every application receives a reply; it does not oblige Kloufi to offer a position.
6. Voice search
The microphone in the search bar is optional. When you use it, your voice is turned into text by the dictation service of your browser or of your device (Google on Chrome and Android, Apple on Safari and iPhone), under that provider's terms. Kloufi receives neither the audio nor the dictated text.
Understanding the sentence (market, place, price, brand…) happens on your device. Kloufi shows what it understood; no search is sent without your confirmation. Only the confirmed search reaches Kloufi, as if you had typed it. Your browser keeps the last voice search for ten minutes, to understand a follow-up such as “avec parking” (with parking); nothing is sent or kept anywhere else.
The transcription and the interpretation are indicative: read them over before launching the search. On browsers without a dictation service, the microphone does not appear and the keyboard does everything.
7. Scam watch and reports
Kloufi relays listings published elsewhere: a fake listing or an attempted scam published on an original site can therefore appear on Kloufi. To help you, every listing is read automatically, using simple rules in French, Arabic and Darija, in search of known signs of fraud: payment requested in advance, seller abroad, item outside Algeria, contact forced off the platform, a job that costs the applicant money, housing with no viewing, promised winnings. The price is compared with comparable listings online.
The “Caution” and “Scam risk” labels are automatic indications. They are neither a guarantee nor an accusation: a listing without an alert is not necessarily safe, and a listing with an alert is not necessarily a scam. Kloufi does not verify advertisers' identities, does not see the exchanges that follow the click to the original site and does not know their contact details. The decision to contact, to visit, to buy or to pay is yours.
Three reflexes apply to every listing: never pay in advance without having seen the item; meet the seller in a public place and check the papers; never give out a CCP or BaridiMob code (Algeria's postal bank account and its mobile payment app) or a code received by SMS.
7.1 Report a listing
On every listing page, “Report this listing” lets you state a reason (scam, fake listing, already sold, wrong price, other) and an optional comment. The report is anonymous: no personal data is requested or recorded, and your connection address is used only to limit the number of submissions. Do not write any personal data in the comment, whether your own or a third party's. From three scam reports onwards, the listing may be marked “Scam risk”. Reports are also used to improve the detection rules.
7.2 Abusive reports
A report is an act of good faith. False or repeated reports, or reports intended to harm an advertiser or a site, are prohibited; Kloufi may disregard them and block their author's access to the form. A report does not remove a listing: only the original site can do so.
8. Use of the service
The service is intended for personal and reasonable use: searching for listings, going to their source, keeping your favourites and your searches, applying for a job at Kloufi, reporting a listing.
The following are prohibited: automated or bulk extraction of results and listings, copying of the database, circumvention of technical measures (rate limits, protections, origin checks), deliberate overloading of the service, accessing or attempting to access another person's account, impersonation, false applications or false reports, and any use contrary to Algerian law.
Kloufi may restrict or block access from an address or an account that does not comply with these rules. Professionals who wish to make use of Kloufi's data (market reports, listing feeds) apply to [email protected]; no such use is permitted without written agreement.
9. Data processed
Searching requires neither an account nor an identity. Kloufi measures the use of its own site, without any third-party tool or advertising network. The privacy policy (kloufi.com/confidentialite) describes, point by point, what is collected, why, for how long, and your rights; it forms part of these terms.
9.1 Searches and usage measurement
Searched terms, filters applied, clicks to source sites, pages with no results and technical errors are measured to improve the service. These events contain neither a visitor identifier nor a cookie: they include the page, the term, the category, the device type and the time. When you leave a listing, your browser tells Kloufi how many of its photos could be displayed, to spot listings that have disappeared; this signal does not allow you to be recognised from one day to the next.
9.2 Forms
The contact, suggestion, add-a-site, application and report forms send only the information you enter. It is used to handle your request and is not passed on to third parties.
9.3 Your rights (Law 18-07)
Kloufi's processing of personal data is governed by Law 18-07 of 10 June 2018 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data (Algeria's data-protection law). You can request access to, rectification or deletion of the information concerning you, or object to a processing, by writing to [email protected]; for an account, all of this can also be done from your account area. Kloufi replies within one month. You can refer the matter to the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (ANPDP).
11. Hosting
Kloufi's servers are hosted in Europe (Germany and Finland), with a professional hosting provider, and administered by the publisher. The indexing engine is separate from the public site and is not accessible to visitors. Account data is stored on these servers and is passed on to no third party.
Traffic to the site goes through a protection and delivery service (Cloudflare) placed in front of the servers, which processes connection addresses for as long as it takes to route the pages and ward off attacks.
12. Liability
Listings are written by their authors on the original sites. Kloufi guarantees neither their accuracy, nor their availability, nor the good faith of advertisers, and does not take part in exchanges between advertisers and visitors. Kloufi is not a party to the transactions entered into on the basis of a listing and assumes no liability for them: price, condition of the item, delivery, payment, viewing, hiring.
The indications computed by Kloufi (scam-watch signals, price comparison, market statistics, voice transcription, suggestions) are provided for information, on the basis of published listings, with no guarantee of completeness or accuracy. The statistics describe listings online, not completed transactions.
Kloufi strives to keep the service accessible, secure and up to date, without any obligation as to results: indexing may lag behind the source, a vanished listing may remain visible for a few days, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance or in the event of a failure.
Kloufi cannot be held liable for damage resulting from the use of a listing, of a source site, of a transaction with an advertiser, of an automatic indication or of the unavailability of the service. These limits do not apply where the law prohibits them.
13. Intellectual property
The Kloufi name, the logo, the visual identity, the interface, the site's texts and the software are the property of the publisher. The database of listings built by indexing is protected as a database; any substantial extraction or reuse is prohibited without written agreement.
The statistics and indicators published by Kloufi (median prices, volumes, breakdowns) belong to it. You may quote an excerpt with the mention “Source: Kloufi” and a link to the page; any systematic or commercial reuse requires written agreement.
The content of listings (texts, photos, characteristics) belongs to their authors and to the original sites. Kloufi reproduces it for the purposes of indexing and of access to the source, and removes it on request (see “What is indexed and where it comes from”).
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Algerian law. The processing of personal data is governed by Law 18-07 of 10 June 2018. In the event of a dispute, write first to [email protected]: Kloufi seeks an amicable solution. Failing agreement, the courts of Algiers have jurisdiction.
15. Changes
The publisher may change these terms when the service changes. The date at the top of this page indicates the version in force; the previous version was dated 6 September 2026. Significant changes are announced on the site before they take effect, with reasonable notice (fifteen days as a rule), except where required by law or in a security emergency.
Continuing to use Kloufi after the date indicated constitutes acceptance of the new version. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service and delete your account.
16. Contact
For any question about these terms, a removal request, a report or your data: [email protected]. The site's forms (contact, add a site, report a listing) are there for that too.
