Up-to-date listings: new ones come in, vanished ones go out

A listing sold three weeks ago wastes everyone's time. Kloufi goes over the sites it follows again and again, so that the list reflects what is really available.

New listings, continuously

The most active sites are re-read several times an hour; the others several times a day. A listing published on its site this morning is generally on Kloufi within the hour, with its publication date.

“Seen … ago”

On every card and every listing page, Kloufi shows when it last saw the listing on its original site. A listing seen again this morning is a listing that still exists; a listing seen a long time ago deserves a second look before you make the trip.

Vanished listings are set aside

When a listing is no longer on its original site, Kloufi removes it from its results. It never does so on a single error: a page that fails to answer for a moment, a site that blocks one visit, a photo that does not load are not enough. The absence has to be confirmed several times, over time, before a listing is considered withdrawn. And if it comes back, it comes back.

A withdrawn listing remains reachable from an old link, with a note that it is no longer available and similar listings that are still online.

Frequently asked questions

Why has a listing I saw on Kloufi disappeared from the original site?

The advertiser withdrew it, or it expired between two Kloufi visits. Kloufi will remove it in turn as soon as its disappearance is confirmed.

Does Kloufi edit listings?

No. Kloufi shows the listing as it is published on its site, with a link to the original. It adds nothing to and removes nothing from the advertiser's text.
